Maha Shivratri

Onam

Most people also stay up until midnight chanting, as Krishna was born at midnight.

Holi

The festival of color is quite possible the funnest of all the festivals in Hinduism. It celebrates the love of Krishna and Radha and their eternal bond. Split into two days, the first is a pious and spiritual event, while the second is a wild frenzy of throwing color spray at one another in the streets.

Diwali

The second biggest festival of all, Diwali is the celebration of light over darkness. Houses place beautiful lights all over their windows and outside their homes. For each day celebrated, a new ritual is performed. Diwali marks the return of Rama and his wife to Ajodhya, where they were welcomed back with beautiful candle lights.
