Sawan Month Importance and Mythology

Importance of Sawan Month

Legends and Mythology of Sawan Month


According to ancient Hindu In accordance with age old legends, the sacred Shravan maas was the one where the Gods and Demons chose to churn the sea to choose who among them was the most powerful.   And so that she'd reward them with all the nectar from the sea.  The Gods and demons had consented to talk about the nectar both among themselves.  Snake Vasuki, who's portrayed on Lord Shiva's throat and Sumeru Parvat were utilized for its manthan.

Shravan Maas is also vital as three times can also be known as highly auspicious, the Shravan Mangalvar or Tuesdays within this past month, Shravan Shukrawar or Fridays In this month, also Shravana Shaniwar of all Saturdays through this month.  Recently  Married women also execute the Mangala Gauri Vrata on Tuesdays through this Sawan month to prevent negative and bad omens.
